Kamal Haasan to play cop in his next

Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, who was last seen in Uttama Villain as an ageing superstar, will don khaki in his upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual. According to a source, “Kamal will be seen as a police officer. It’ll be a stylish thriller that’ll unfold in a single night. The film will go on floors from the second or third week of this month”.

Trisha Krishnan has been finalised as the leading lady opposite Kamal Haasan, while Prakash Raj has also been roped in for an important role. The project will be helmed by Kamal’s long-time associate Rajesh. Mohamaad Ghibran will compose the music for the yet-untitled flick.

Originally, the film was planned to be shot in Mauritius. But, now there seems to be change of plans. The source also added, “The plan was to shoot in Mauritius. Kamal had also finalised some locations on the island. But due to some logistical issues, the team plans to shoot in India”.
