Kamal Haasan to play the lead role in PK remake

Aamir Khan-starrer PK turned out to be a blockbuster. In the midst of controversies, the movie not only created records regarding the collections but also emerged to be a meaningful film full of wit & imagination. Latest reports reveal that the Rajkumar Hirani film is to be remade in Tamil and none other than megastar Kamal Haasan will play the lead role.

The Tamil remake will apparently be produced by Gemini Film Circuit. "Gemini Film Circuit has acquired the film's remake rights and Kamal Haasan is expected to play the lead. Gemini had already remade two of Hirani's films and they were really impressed with PK too," a source close to the development told media.

While the rest of the cast is to be finalised soon, the director of the movie has yet not been decided. "Kamal sir will choose the director of his choice. He might even direct it," added the source.

The movie is likely to go on floors in May. Meanwhile, Haasan is currently busy with the post production of his Tamil films Vishwaroopam 2, Uttama Villain and Papanasam.
