Kamal Haasan’s ‘Marudhanayagam’ To Be Funded By Lyca Productions?

Kamal Haasan started filming for his dream project titled ‘Marudhanayagam’ back in 1997. The film has been stalled for many years due to lack of funds. Looks like the actor has finally found a new producer for the film and hopefully the film won’t stop at any financial barrier now.

According to reports, Lyca Productions, which is bankrolling many big ventures in Kollywood like Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’, GV Prakash’s ‘Enakku Innoru Peru Irukku’, and many other, may bankroll the long delayed project of the Papanasam actor. Raju Mahalingam, creative head of the production house tweeted, “Lyca is proud to associate with Ulaganayagan Kamalhassan avargal”.

However an official confirmation is awaited whether Lyca will fund the historical fiction film or any other film of the multi-talented actor. Meanwhile, the actor has announced that he has dropped his film ‘Appa Amma Vilayattu’, which would have marked comeback of Amala Akkineni. He is now looking forward to start his film with T.K.Rajeev Kumar which will also feature Shruti Haasan.
