Kamal Hassan clarifies injury rumours

There has been a lot of rumours doing rounds about Kamal Hassan’s injury during the shoot of Pabanasam. The Ulaganayagan has himself clarified the rumours by issuing a statement. It was reported that the actor got hurt while shooting forJeethu Joseph’s upcoming thriller Papanasam and was admitted in hospital.

Clarifying all the rumours, the actor said, "Before various new ailments are endowed upon me, I hasten to clarify that all is well. It is not true that I was injured while shooting. It was a makeup rubber prosthetic that slipped into my nasal passage and had to be carefully removed under medical supervision. It was a stunt scene so I had simulated injuries on the face. A visit to the hospital with a bruised face led to the interpolated news. I am alright."

Haasan has won several Indian film awards including 4 National Film Awards and 19 Filmfare Awards. The actor is busy shooting for Papanasam. Jeethu Joseph’s Papanasam is a remake of 2013Malayalam Blockbuster Drishyam. The film which is expected to release in 2015 also stars Asha Sarath, Kalabhavan Mani and Niveda Thomas in other pivotal roles.
