Kanchana Sequel In The Pipeline

Choreographer turned actor/filmmaker Raghava Lawrence started the horror-comedy genre wave in Tamil by directing Muni in 2007. Later, he went on directing its sequels Muni 2 which was named Kanchana followed by Muni 3 titled Kanchana 2. Both Muni 2 and Muni 3 were blockbuster hits.

After Lawrence, several filmmakers tried their hands in making horror-comedy genre, however they were not successful as Raghav. And now Raghav is gearing up for the next instalment of Muni. The film which will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual will have a surprise factor and social message. He is currently busy with the pre-production of Muni 4.

“We are working on the script of Muni 4 — Kanchana 3, which will go on floors next month. Since the name ‘Kanchana’ has been our lucky charm, we are retaining the name alongside Muni,” he said. Talking about the film, he said, “I am retaining those who are relevant like Kovai Sarala madam who played my mother, Deva-darshini, Manobala, Sreeman, etc. in the fourth part as well. I am working on the flashback portions, which are very crucial, and takes forward the story. Once it is complete, I will get an idea of whom to feature in the vital character.”

He further stated that the movie will have two actresses or more.
