Kochadaiiyaan’s 100 shows to be held in leading multiplex

Finally the day has arrived when superstar Rajinikanth starrer epic phenomenon Kochadaiiyaan will hit the big screens amid huge celebrations. Though its release has been delayed but the hype around the movie is still the same. It has been hence proved as one of the leading multiplexes in the Tamil Nadu capital has planned 100 shows for the film on its opening day.

The leading multiplex, named Mayajaal, will arrange 100 shows today across 16 screens. The manager of Mayajaal, Meenakshi Sundaram, said, "When Rajini's Enthiran released, we had 90 shows during the entire first week. Since Kochadaiiyaan happens to be a very special film, we have increased the total number of shows to 100. We will increase or decrease the number of shows based on the initial response.” Other multiplexes like SPI Cinemas have also recorded a huge sale of tickets as almost 30,000 tickets have been sold in advance for the opening day.

A representative of SPI Cinemas told, "The tickets are sold out for the opening weekend. The pre-release buzz has been extremely positive and fans are eagerly waiting to catch superstar Rajinikanth on the screen. The film is likely to register a record opening.” Soundarya R. Ashwin-directed Kochadaiiyaan is India's first photo-realistic 3D animated motion capture film and it will be released throughout 477 screens in the state. It will also release overseas in 10 countries across 6,000 screens. Rajini’s die-hard fans have full-fledged planning to celebrate this day as the much-awaited magnum opus is finally hitting the screens. Kochadaiiyaan also stars Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, R. Sarath Kumar, Aadi Pinisetty, Nasser and Shobana.
