Mahendran To Take The Role Of An Actor In Maheshinte Prathikaaram’s Remake

The film is a remake of Maheshinte Prathikaaram and is yet to be titled. The decision was taken pertaining to the cast becoming increasingly formidable.
“His role will be that of a soft-spoken and good-willed father, and has a prominent part to play in the progression of the story,” mentioned the source. Mahendran had earlier essayed the role of a villain in a blockbuster film, ‘Theri’. However, he is now set to act out a quite opposite role to his earlier project.
The shooting of the film has begun and is taking place in Kuttralam. The story revolves around a villager seeking revenge and involves comic elements. Sources reveal that in order suit the Tamil audience, Priyadarshan has made a few changes in the film’s script.
