Mani Ratnam's Next Titled Vellai Pookal?

It was previously rumoured that cast for Mani Ratnam's next film has been changed. Confirming the rumours is the news that Karthi, Dulquer Salman and Keerthy Suresh are no longer a part of the project. There have also been speculations about the title which might be Vellai Pookal.

The directors last film OK Kanmani was a huge success at the box office. With very little information currently available for the new project, it has been confirmed that Fahad Fazil, Nani, Nithya Menen, Saiyami Kher and Shruti Haasan will be the new cast for the film. Also, the music will be composed by A.R. Rahman and the cinematography will be in Ravi Varman’s capable hands.

Mani Ratnam is known for his films Bombay, Roja, Thalapathi and Nayakan. Dulquer and Nithya, who were part of the initial cast, had other projects lined up. It is speculated that Dulquer might have left the project because he did not want to act alongside another lead hero.
