Namitha Kapoor joins politics, party not decided yet

It’s confirmed now that actress Namitha Kapoor, who has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films, has entered politics and she is very excited about the new innings in her life. However she is tight-lipped about her preference of any political party.

An elated Namitha said, "Yes, I'm super sure about the decision.” She added further, "Three parties have accorded me a warm welcome but I am yet to decide which one to be a part of.” She also said that she may contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from any Tamil Nadu constituency. But she didn’t divulge anything further regarding her choice of any constituency, "At this juncture, when everything is in the pipeline, I don't want to jinx it by disclosing too much.”
The 32-year-old actress also showed interest in campaigning for the party which she ultimately joins, "You will see me hit the campaign trail very soon.” When asked about the impact of her political career on her acting profession the Filmfare Award nominee said, "As of now, I am not doing too many movies. That's because I want to concentrate on my political career. I want to be more selective about my scripts. Gone are the days when I went about doing any movie with any subject and character. It's high time I choose my scripts carefully.” She was also asked why she wanted to join politics and here comes her reply, "The people here have given me so much love and adoration. I want to give them something in return.”
