Oru Pakka Kathai To Finally See Light Of The Day

It has been three years since Oru Pakka Kathai went on floors. However, it is still waiting to hit the theatres. The film directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan stars Kalidas Jayaram and Megha Akash in the lead roles.

Well, something similar like Bollywood movie Jab Harry Met Sejal happened with the film. The film could not see the light of the day as CBFC was not satisfied with the word ‘intercourse’ used in it. However, after fighting for seven long months, the film has been finally given a ‘U’ certificate along with minor cuts.

 “When we were asked to remove the word ‘intercourse’, we had approached the revising committee five months ago. The revising committee had no objection , but they wanted to check with the Mumbai head office. That really tested our patience as it took a long time for them. Finally, they have certified the film and have also retained the word ‘intercourse’,” revealed Balaji. He further added, “We are hopeful that it would release in a month or two.”

Balaji is currently shooting his next film titled Seethakathi with Vijay Sethupathi. The movie is 30 percent complete. The team will start working on the next schedule in October.
