Parvathy Wants Bangalore Days RJ To Stay The Same In Tamil Remake

Ennu Ninte Moideen and Maryan actress Parvathy recently spoke at the Bangalore Naatkal press meet. The actress believes that she does not want a second name as it ties the person to a specific cast. Her comments at the event gathered more than just appreciation.

Talking about the Tamil remake of Bangalore Days, Parvathy stated, “There are not enough Muslim characters in cinema nowadays when compared to the Hindu based characterizations. I do not want to be a part of that art form encouraging something like this. It is not the race or religion I'm talking about, the demographic related culture is what I'm trying to enforce here”.

The actress wanted the Tamil remake of the Malayalam version of Bangalore Days to feature the radio jockey character she played, with the same name and the cultural specificity from the original film. This might pose an issue as the character needs to be as relatable as possible with the Tamil audience. Bangalore Days was a Malayalam romantic-comedy drama in which Parvathy played RJ Sarah.
