Prabhudeva’s Dope Cop Look In Pon Manickavel Is Trending

It was earlier reported that Prabhudeva will be donning the role of a cop for the first time in AC Mugil’s Pon Manickavel. The title of the film was announced just recently. And now, the first look of the film which has the multitalented man Prabhudeva as a tough cop is released.

The movie is totally based on the life of a cop in which Nivetha Pethuraj will be playing the female lead role. Talking about the same, says Mugil, “This is an out-and-out cop film that revolves around his life journey. It is an engaging film about an incident that changes his life. We will be shooting in Chennai, Mumbai and some portions in a village in Tamil Nadu”.

Moreover, Prabhu and G Gnanasambandam will be seen playing important roles in the film. Revealing the details, Mugli said, “Mahendran sir will be playing an important role. Bahubali Prabhakar will be essaying a role with a negative shade. We also have Nagesh’s grandson Bijesh in an interesting role. His mannerisms are very much like that of Nagesh sir. He plays the role of PC Muthu, a very interesting and funny character”. Interestingly, Pon Manickavel is also the name of the Tamil Nadu Inspector General (IG) who shot to fame for arresting idol smugglers in the state.
