Prashanth’s Upcoming Film Is Titled ‘Johny’

Last seen in Arun Raj Varma’s Kollywood action comedy ‘Saagasam’, actor Prashanth has signed his next. The upcoming movie is said to be titled as ‘Johny’. The flick is touted to be an action thriller.

Recently, Prashanth’s father, and actor-director-producer Thiagarajan confirmed the news, stating, “Yes, the shooting is on now. Debutant director Vetriselvan, who previously assisted Jeeva Shankar, has been brought on board to wield the megaphone. Mumbai girl Ananya Soni, who has also bagged a film in Telugu, will be debuting opposite Prashanth”.

According to reports, the makers have taken permission to use the title, which is also the title of Superstar Rajinikanth’s yesteryear blockbuster, from its earlier producers. On a related note, Prashanth will also be seen in the Bollywood remake of Vijay Antony’s Tamil thriller ‘Naan’. He debuted in the Hindi film industry with ‘I Love You’ (1992), a remake of Kollywood drama film ‘Vaigasi Poranthachu’.
