Priyadarshan’s Next With Udhayanidhi Stalin Titled Nimir

Director Priyadarshan has completed the shooting of his upcoming movie starring Udhayanidhi Stalin in the lead role. The crew completed the shoot in 36 days. "Though a remake of the Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaram, we have written a new screenplay for this one. While the original features Idukki, like a character in the movie, we have incorporated Thenkasi in this. We have also added more entertaining elements without losing the soul of the original. We shot most of the film in Thenkasi and did two days of shoot in Dubai, too,” said Priyadarshan.

The film also has veteran director Mahendran, who has done a nice and a memorable role in the flick. Apart from acting, Mahendran has also suggested the title, Nimir, for the movie which the makers liked it. Nimir means stand up.

Praising Stalin, Priyadarshan said, "He will be known for his performance. I would say he has been the best student I have had till now. He got so immersed in the character that I didn't have to correct him even once during the shoot." The movie also has Namitha Pramod and Parvathy Nair.
