Radhika Apte Confirmed for Ranjith-Rajinikanth’s Next?

It seems like Ranjith is having a tough time hunting for the female lead for his much anticipated upcoming Tamil film, which stars Rajinikanth. Earlier, there were rumours that Vidya Balan has been approached for the lead role. Then, the news came around that Radhika Apte was under consideration. Now, as per a TOI report, Radhika has been confirmed to play the lead role opposite Rajinikanth in this yet-to-be titled film.

A source told TOI, “Radhika Apte is on board for Rajini-Ranjith's film. Everything is finalised, and she will be officially signing on the dotted line soon”. However, no official announcement has been made as of now.

Also, it was said that the film will be titled ‘Kaali’. Denying of the rumours, the source said, “We are yet to finalise the title. But as of now, it's not Kaali”. The film will go on floors in August. Besides the Lingaa actor, the film also stars Prakash Raj, Dinesh and Kalaiyarasan Harikrishnan in prominent roles.
