Rahman distributes ‘I’ tickets to doctors
Updated : April 06, 2016 10:58 AM ISTMusic maestro A.R. Rahman recently presented tickets of his latest Tamil film 'I' to a group of doctors in Apollo Hospital as a token of appreciation for taking care of his mother when she was unwell.
"Rahman believes it was these doctors who brought his mother back to him when she was hospitalised. In return for their care and treatment for his mother, Rahman booked tickets to 'I' in bulk and gave them away to the doctors and their families," said a source close to Rahman.
Vikram, Amy Jackson and Upen Patel starrer ‘I’ released on January 14 amidst much hype. The science fiction fantasy romantic thriller produced and distributed by V. Ravichandran is doing good business despite mixed reviews. Besides Tamil, Shankar’s magnum opus was also released in Tamil and Telugu.
