Rajinikanth Cancels Birthday Celebration In Wake Of Chennai Rains

It is generally a vast celebration in Tamil Nadu on what is touted to be the magical date-12-12. The date is remembered for superstar Rajinikanth’s birthday. But this year the magic has been seemingly lost due to incessant rains of Chennai.

Rumours are rife that the megastar has declared that he wouldn’t celebrate his birthday this year. The Thalaivar is turning 65 on December 12. It was supposed to be a double treat for the movie buffs as the makers of Rajini’s upcoming film Kabali had decided to release two new posters of the film on the same date. Now, the grapevine suggests that these plans have been averted for same reason.

Today, on December 8 is director Ranjith’s birthday.  It seems that the director hasn’t celebrated his birthday as well. The shooting of the flick is going on in Thailand. Radhika Apte, who is supposed to play the role of Rajini’s wife in the flick, has joined the shoot a few days back.
