Rajinikanth Won’t Join Politics!

It was being rumoured about superstar Rajinikanth that he is keen to take up politics really soon. However, the 66-year-old star has denied these reports. He made it clear that he has no plans of joining politics. In 2009 also, it was strongly believed that Rajinikanth would take the political plunge. But he didn’t.

The super star was asked if there was a political agenda to the Chennai meeting of his fans on Sunday. “No, there won’t be any announcement on politics. The fans are meeting because it has been a long time,” said the actor, who met Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak in Chennai earlier in the day.

Also, there were reports that Rajini was going to replace actor Shah Rukh Khan as the brand ambassador of Malaysian tourism. The Kabali actor was inquired about this news as well, but Rajinikanth trashed such reports. On the work front, he is busy shooting for ‘2.0’.
