Samantha To Star Opposite Sivakarthikeyan

It was much speculated that Samantha walked out of Vada Chennai because she may have been planning to tie the knot with his rumoured boyfriend Naga Chaitanya. However, this might not have been the case as the Brahmotsavam actress has signed movie for Ponram. It will be her third flick with the director.

"Samantha has been confirmed as the female lead in my next, and her role will be that of a girl-next-door. Samantha's outfit and look will be very similar to the heroines of my earlier films. She is a town-girl, and yet, the audience will get to see her in a new avatar", said Ponram.

He added that the team is planning to begin shooting by January 2017. The male lead character is played by Sivakarthikeyan, who will work for the first time with Samantha. The filmmakers are currently looking for perfect location for the film and conducting recce at several places.
