Santhosh P Jayakumar Claims Hara Hara Mahadevaki To Be A Family Entertainer

Though Tamil cinema has seen actors making people burst into laughter with their comedy antics, however, adult comedy are rare in Kollywood. And now director Santhosh P Jayakumar is coming up with the genre in his upcoming film Hara Hara Mahadevaki. The movie will see actor Gautham Karthik romancing Nikki Galrani.

Though Hara Hara Mahadevaki is an adult comedy, but the director claims that people can watch the film with their family members. “There’s a wrong perception that adult comedy will have high glam quotient with obscene sequences. But that is not what I have conveyed in Hara Hara Mahadevaki. It’s a thoroughly enjoyable entertainer targeted at the youth audience. I have made it clear in my trailer and did not want to cheat anyone. HHMD is a story that happens in a day among eight characters,” Santhosh said.

He further added, “There’s no degrading of anybody   in the society. We haven’t even shown the heroine in skimpy clothes! It is a new kind of adult comedy that has emotions, love, breakups and comedy.” Santosh said that before finalising Gautham, he approached 18 actors for the role. However, everyone had some or the other problem with the movie. Some has issues with the title, while some were not satisfied with the script. He also said that there were actors who seemed to be least interested while he was narrating the script to them. Finally, he went to Karthik who gave is nod.
