Shankar impressed by Sonam Bajwa’s dedication

Actress Sonam Bajwa is on cloud nine these days as the actress is making her Tamil debut with Karthik’s Kappal. When asked about her Kollywood debut, she says, "I was doing modelling in Delhi when I got a call from Shankar's office for the audition. I was told that they have been looking for a female lead for Kappal. Without any apprehensions, I attended the auditions in Chennai. During the audition I was given a Tamil dialogue and I was asked to enact a scene. I think I performed well in the auditions and that's how I got selected for the film."

Sonam was a participant inMiss India contest held in 2012. "Since childhood, my dream was to become a Miss India. Born and brought up in Nanital, I prepared myself for many years to participate in the contest. I finally managed to participate in the 2012 contest. Though I didn't win the title, I was privileged to participate in such a big event," states the bubbly actress.

Kappal, directed by Karthik G. Krish features Vaibhav and Sonam Bajwa in the lead roles while Arjunan and Karunakaran appear in supporting roles.
