Shruti Haasan Collaborates With British Alt-rock Band

Shruti Haasan has always dazzled the fans with her on screen presence and glamour. But a major section of her fans want to see her other talent as well. It is a known fact that the Vedalam actress has an amazing voice. She is now all set to showcase her singing talent at the international level.

Reports suggest that Shruti has collaborated with British alternative rock band Dinosaur Pile-Up. She will be singing and co-writing the songs of their brand new album. A source close to the actress revealed, "Shruti has been to London a few times recently to meet and jam with the English Alt-Rock band 'Dinosaur Pile-Up'. She has been jamming with lead singer and guitarist Matt Bigland, drummer Mike Sheils and bassist Jim Cratchley. When she spent time with them, she enjoyed the vibe of their music and felt it was in line with her own musical inclination”.

The source added that Shruti plans to dedicate a good portion of her time to music. The Puli actress has sung few hit songs in Hindi and Tamil films in the past. Also, she composed music for 2009 hit film ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’. She is also the vocalist of an alternative rock band The Extramentals.
