Siddharth And Kalidas Jayaram In Alphonse Putharen’s Next?

Director Alphonse Putharen made his Kollywood debut with a critically acclaimed movie Neram. The movie starred Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim in the lead roles. His next directorial venture was Premam, a Malayalm film, which crossed all borders and was appreciated for its brilliant making and realistic content.

The time when many films are finding it hard to stay in theatres for a month, Premam ran for 200 days in Chennai. Since then there have been lot of expectations from Alphonse. Later, he made an announcement of his next movie which would be a straight Tamil film. He even called for actors and actress who can act with certain knowledge of Carnatic music as well.

Sources have revealed that the film was earlier planned to be made in Tamil, but now it will be a bilingual in Tamil-Malayalam. “The pre-production process of this untitled movie is underway and Alphonse has plans of retaining the technical team who worked in Neram and Premam. Composer Rajesh Murugesan and cinematographer Anand C Chandran are expected to be part of the technical crew,” a source adds.

Rumours are doing rounds that Siddharth and Kalidas Jayaram will be playing the lead roles. However, an official announcement regarding the cast and crew will be made out soon. Industry grapevine is abuzz that the movie will be about music.
