Suriya’s ‘24’ Crosses $1 Million Mark In U.S.

Suriya’s recent release ‘24’ is storming the box office. The film is doing a fantabulous business and is arresting rave reviews from the audiences as well as the critics. The film is performing superbly not only in India, but overseas as well.

Reports suggest that the flick has grossed over $1 million in North America. The Vikram Kumar directorial reached the $1 million mark on Sunday. This is the biggest opening for the Anjaan actor in the U.S. The film also managed to break the record set by Vijay’s ‘Theri’.

While ‘Theri’ collected $251,123 from its premiere shows and around $130,000 on its opening day, ‘24’ managed to gross $440,000 from its premiere and first day shows. The movie collected over Rs. 60 lakh after the first day theatrical run in Chennai alone. It is being said that the science fiction thriller film will break many more records in the coming days. It will be interesting to see how many more records it will shatter.
