Vai Raaja Vai: Taapsee Pannu steps in

Actress Taapsee Pannu has been roped in to play a cameo in Aishwarya Rajinikanth Dhanush’s Vai Raaja Vai. The leggy lass is now a part of the cast that includes Gautham Karthik, Priya Anand, Vivek and Daniel Balaji. The film is already on the floors and Taapsee will start filming for her part in the movie from February. The release date of the rom-com is yet to be announced.

The actress quoted, “Some of our common friends had earlier told me that Aishwaryaa was interested in casting me for a small role in the film. But I was sceptical because I was not really game for any guest appearances. But when I learnt that she was confident about the script, I thought I should probably listen to it. She narrated the script to me, knowing fully well that I might even say no after that. But when I heard the role from Aishwaryaa's point of view, I found it was really different and interesting. It didn't take me much time to say yes, and within two days, everything was finalized.”
