Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar Bags Another Negative Role!

Kollywood actress Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar is known to have starred in movies such as Nibunan, Kasaba and Vikram Vedha . The actress was recently roped in an upcoming movie ‘Maari 2’, which stars Dhanush in the lead role. The movie will also star Sai Pallavi in the lead role.

The actress has been seen portraying negative roles in the previous movies such as Sathya and Sandakozhi 2. ‘Maari 2’ is helmed by Balaji Mohan. Regarding her role, Varalaxmi said, “I never told anyone that I am playing a grey character. It's a powerful role and that's it”.

Varalaxmi has been seen actively participating in several campaigns for social causes such as the Signature Save Shakti Campaign, which focused on women empowerment. Recently, the actress also played a major role in the campaign ‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’, which was a campaign organised to prevent violence against women.
