Vijay’s ‘Theri’ Crosses Rs. 100 Crore Mark Within Six Days

Vijay stormed the box offices with his recent release ‘Theri’. The film released on April 14 and on its opening day it managed to collect over Rs. 1 crore and became the first Tamil film to reach the 1 crore mark on the first day of its release. The film has now entered the 100 crore club in no time.

According to reports the Atlee directorial crossed Rs. 100 crore mark within six days of its release. This has now become a record as no Tamil film has grossed Rs. 100 crore worldwide within such short span of time. A poster of the film and its achievement was posted by the Puli actor on Twitter.

Reports suggest that Atlee has now become the youngest director to join the elite 100 crore club. It took 14 days for Vijay’s biggest blockbuster ‘Kaththi’ to collect Rs.100 crore, ‘Theri’ bettered its record within six days. Producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu has already declared the film as biggest hit of Vijay’s career.
