Violence Against Women - Theme For Amzath’s Next

Amzath and Anjali will be teaming up for the film Kanbathu Poi which will address the issue of violence against women. Assistant to director Sasi, Sarvesh will be making his directorial debut with the film. The actor and director provided some insight on the project.

Sarvesh revealed, “The film is a women-oriented subject and an action thriller. The entire film is set in Coonoor and Anjali plays the role of a beautician”. Appreciating Anjali for her acting, the director added, “It is a bold subject and we wanted someone who would do justice to the role. Anjali is a natural performer, and is apt for this role. When I narrated the script to her, she liked it a lot and immediately agreed to be a part of the film. She has given around 45-50 days for the shoot, which, I believe, is the longest she's allotted to anyone in a long time”.

Amzath spoke about his role in the film and said, “I play a guy, who studies abroad. He decides to come back to his hometown, where he meets this girl, who is bold and independent. It's a pretty romantic character”.
