Warrant Issued Against Actor Jai, Police Suspects He Is On The Run

Actor Jai Sampath was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, crashing into a divider in Adyar last month. However, the actor got bail and was out of jail. On October 3, he was supposed to appear before the court for the case. But the 34-year-old actor seems to be on the run.

Jai didn’t come to the court for which a non-bailable warrant has been issued against the actor. The actor, who is also a professional car racer, smashed his car onto the Adyar Bridge on September 21. Police searched Jai at his home, however, he was unavailable. Authorities have claimed that he is on the run.

The actor has been charged under Sections 185 and 279 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Senior civil judge, L Abraham Lincoln is said to have issued the warrant. Further, the next hearing is going to take place on October 13.
