A Christian outfit protests against Mani Ratnam's latest release Kadal

Religious protests are making it very difficult for filmmakers to release their films. Soon after the end ofVishwarooopamrow, noted filmmaker Mani Ratnam's ambitious filmKadal, which hit the theatres last Friday, has landed itself in trouble. A Christian outfit, Indian Christian Democratic Party, has alleged that many scenes of the film are objectionable and also sought their deletion. The outfit has also warned that they will intensify their protests if police do not take any action after submitting a memorandum in this regard on Monday.
