After Bhaagamathie, G. Ashok’s Next An Internatioanl Period Flick

Tollywood and Kollywood film director G. Ashok made his debut in direction with Aakasa Ramanna in 2010. He is best known for his lately released film Bhaagamathie which starred Anushka Shetty in the lead role and Unni Mukundan, Jayaram, and Asha Sarath in other pivotal roles. The film not only impressed the critics but also managed to impress the audiences.

After the impressive outing of Bhaagamathie, the filmmaker has been getting a lot of offers. However, if latest reports are to be believed, Ashok has landed an international project and would soon helm it. The film will be titled Komagata Maru 1914.

Reports further added that the film will be a period drama. The film will unveil a historic incident that happened during the British Raj in 1914. Helmed by G. Ashok, the film will be bankrolled by Mehmood Ali of Pen N. Camera productions in association with the Canadian Film Council.
