Chiranjeevi, Brahmanandam In The News For The Wrong Reasons

Mega star Chiranjeevi is the host of the reality show 'Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’ which recently hosted Brahmanandam as a guest. It was all fun and dandy at the start but as the comedian delved into his past, the show took a turn for the worst. Brahmanandam was talking about director Jandhyala who was responsible for the comedian’s entry into Telugu cinema and spoke about the director’s alleged issues with alcohol. Jandhyala's wife Annapurna was not happy about this.

In the past, Jandhyala and Brahmanandam shared a stage at an event where apparently, the actor-filmmaker asked the comedian if he looked drunk. The comedian shared this incident on the show which then riled up Annapurna. “Yes, I called Brahmanandam and told him that it was not right on his part to talk about my husband’s issues with alcohol, which is not true”, she said.

“My daughter saw the programme and the authorities from the TV channel sent me the clipping. I objected to Brahmanandam’s comment about my husband and so they promised to edit that part out”, Annapurna added. She also revealed that Brahmanandam did apologize for the comment.

Annapurna also stated that it was not good on Brahmanandam and Chiranjeevi’s part to talk about someone who is no more with them, given that they both are well educated and kind hearted people.
