IT officials Steps Inside Jai Simha, Agnyaathavaasi Makers’ Office

After two big movies released in Sankranti this year, it seems the income tax department had been keeping an eye on Jai Simha and Agnyaathavaasi’s revenue scale. Shockingly, latest news reveals that the Income Tax officials on January 17th landed up at the office of producer C Kalyan. It is also a mystery right now as to which film producer would be the next on the list.

After this incident, Tollywood went into a tizzy. Moreover, it has been learned that offices of eight major Tollywood production houses were also searched. Reports say that the IT officials, who were on duty for the search refused to reveal anything about it and kept their mouth shut.

However, according to reports in TOI, a source in the know revealed, “This is a routine IT search to check if the producers have complied with all the rules of TDS (Tax Deducted at Source). The search is still on so it's early to comment whether we found anyone defaulting”.
