Kristina Akheeva bags her next Telugu project

Russian-Australian model and actress Kristina Akheeva who was last seen in Bollywood film Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is all prepared for her Telugu debut. The pretty actress is all set to enter the Tollywood industry next month with debutant director Naveen Gandhi’s Galipatam. Galipatam is supposed to be a romantic film produced by Sampath Nandi.

However, even before Galipatam’s release, the actress successfully managed to bag the lead role in a romantic entertainer titled Abbayitho Ammayi. The doe-eyed actress is to be paired opposite Revanth in the film directed by Ramesh Varma. However, the other lead actress is yet to be finalised.

Abbayitho Ammayi is said to be based on teenage love. The story revolves around an 18-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl and the Australian model is expected to portray a glamorous role in the movie. A source close to the unit says, "The makers are impressed with Kristina's looks and acting and have finalised her name for the leading lady's role." The actress would also be seen in a Kannada film titled Uppi 2.
