Low Taught Me Evolve As A Filmmaker: Sriram Venu
Updated : December 29, 2017 11:37 AM IST It seems that after the release of his latest film Middle Class Abbayi (MCA), director Sriram Venu has come to a relaxation mode. The film starring Nani in the lead role has been successful at the box office. And regarding the success of the film, the director, who has helmed a film after a gap of five years, said that hard work paid off.
Sriram said, “I came close to directing a couple of films last year too, but they did not materialise. I was feeling low and emotionally down. It was then that I started penning a fresh script for Nani. I persevered along with my writers and it eventually paid off”.
Moreover, he revealed in an interview that he was a bit tensed as he didn’t want t play the spoilsport. He was nervous but yet confident about its success. Talking about his low period, the director said, “I think the low taught me a lot and made me evolve as a filmmaker. I started watching more films, which inspired me to write the plot of this film (MCA)”.
