Mani Ratnams next venture to be released on Diwali

In a good news for the fans of creative genius Mani Ratnam, the shooting of theace filmmakers Telugu-Tamil bilingual Kadal: The Sea has already begun and the film will be ready toentertain the audiences on this Diwali, sources said. The film which is set against the background of afishing village, Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu, stars Samantha and yesteryear actor Karthiks son Gauthamin the lead roles, whereas Roja and Bombay fame actor Aravind Swamy is also making a comeback withit. Swamy will be playing the role of Samanthas father in the movie. Besides them, actors Arjun Sarja,Thambi Ramiah and Lakshmi Manchu will also be seen in Kadal. Maestro AR Rahman is composing musicfor the movie, while Rajiv Menon is handling the cinematography.
