Updated : September 18, 2017 01:11 PM IST Strangely, after six years, the 2011 film ‘Mr Perfect’, which was bankrolled by Dil Raju, has fallen into the category of Copyright violation. A novelist, Shyamala Rani has lodged a complaint against the film’s producer in Hyderabad on September 9. The novelist has accused the film’s producer of making the movie based on her published novel Na Manasu Korindi Ninne.
A source knowing the fact revealed, “The complaint has been lodged on the name of Dil Raju aka Venkataramana Reddy under sections 120A, 415, 420 of the Copyright Act 63 under the IPC. Even director Dasaradh has been named in the case.” Shyamala’s allegations reveal that some of the sequences in the film had been taken from her book.
According to Madhapur DCP Viswa Prasad, police will look into the matter. He said, the novel and movie will be compared before coming to any conclusion. Meanwhile, Dil Raju’s representatives said that they haven’t received any notification and would react only after receiving it. Mr Perfect’s story was provided by K.S. Ravindra, who is gearing up for the release of his next film ‘Jai Lava Kusa’.
