NTR’s Character in Jai Lava Kusa Not Copied From Puri’s Script

Jr.NTR is all set for his action-drama film, Jai Lava Kusa, which is scheduled for a September release. Earlier rumours were rife that the star’s character has been inspired from an idea by Puri Jagannadh. However, Jai Lava Kusa team refuted the rumours. The only similarity between Puri’s idea and Tarak’s character is that they stammer.

In Puri’s side of story, the protagonist is a martial arts advocate whereas NTR’s character is not one. If this is not enough, the Puri’s actor in the story is a protagonist and NTR is playing the antagonist with triple roles. Refuting the allegations, Tarak’s publicist said, "The news is not true. It is unfortunate that such allegations are being made. Can't speak more about this at this point".

Now, buzz is that Puri narrated the story to NTR a few years ago about a martial arts artist who had a stammering problem. But he rejected the script. The script then went on to Stylish star Allu Arjun but it was again rejected. On a related note, Jai Lava Kusa is being helmed by K. S. Ravindra and is bankrolled by Kalyanram.
