'Oopiri’ Changed Nagarjuna’s Perception About Physically Challenged People

Nagarjuna is basking in the success of his latest offering ‘Oopiri’. The film is storming the box office and is doing a spectacular business in India as well as in the U.S. Critics have lauded the film and the analysts have predicted that it will continue to perform in the coming days as well.

The Manam actor said that playing a quadriplegic in the Vamsi Paidipally directorial changed his perception about physically challenged people. He said, "I know how much of a problem it is for those who are wheel-chair bound.  It's because my mother suffered from arthritis for eight years.  I felt unhappy watching her in that condition.  By working for this film, I realized that medicine is for the body, not for the mind.  Those who are wheel-chair bound are not disabled persons, but differently-abled persons".

He added that while shooting for the dramedy film, he developed a good bond with his co-star Karthi. They shared a great camaraderie and that could be seen in the film. The film has crossed the one million dollar mark in the U.S. and it will also be remade in Hindi now.
