Playing Negative Roles Is Challenging: Shaykh Junaid

Shaykh Junaid has worked in a number of South movies. The actor will now be seen next in a negative role in Puri Jagannadh ’s upcoming film ‘Mehbooba’. Shaykh is playing the character of a Pakistani army officer in the film. The actor has played a negative role before also in his movie. His first assignment came in the role of a villain in Telugu film Mr.Intelligent, in 2010.

According to him, playing negative roles is challenging. “The perception of baddies has undergone a sea-change. They need to match and surpass the protagonist at times, so it’s always challenging playing roles that have negative shades. But filmmakers have been approaching me for such roles, so I am quite happy about it”, the actor said.

He was seen in popular movies like ' Black Money' and 'Lailaa O Lailaa'. The actor will soon share screen space with another superstar, Mammootty. The actor is seeing it as a great opportunity and he is looking forward to shooting with him.
