Samantha Embraces Her New Character

Penetrating hearts of her fans with her bubbly characters, Samantha has decided to go tough this time. As earlier revealed, the Theri actress is all set to play a journalist in her upcoming flick. The movie will be a remake of the Kannada mystery thriller from Pawan Kumar, U-Turn.

The flick will be a movie whose character will revolve around a lead female, beautifully played by Shraddha Srinath in original. In this Telugu-Tamil remake, Samantha will reprise the character of a journalist associated with an English language daily. She will be probing into a murder mystery with some tough and fearless questions.

Now, it will be interesting to see Samantha coming out her usual portrayal and challenge herself in this new role. One can also expect that this could be the beginning from where she will be trying experimental roles. There are other Tollywood actresses who have taken similar path, such as Tamanaah and Trisha lately.
