SP Balasubrahmanyam And Hema Malini Bestowed With NTR National award

For the uninitiated, it was announced last year that the Telangana state government will present a national award annunally in the name of NTR to a renowned film personality. The state government decided to give away State Film Awards from Ugadi festival this year. The awards for the year 2012 and 2013 were delayed after the formation of Telangana.

The Andhra Pradesh government delayed the long-pending Nandi Awards for the years 2012 and 2013 and they have now announced it. The state government announced the NTR National award, BN Reddy award and Nagireddy Chakrapani award and Raghupathi Venkaiah awards. For the year 2012, NTR National award was conferred to legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam and veteran actress Hema Malini was awarded the NTR National award for 2013.

For the year 2012 and 2013, directors Singeetham Srinivas Rao and Kodanda Rami Reddy were honored with BN Reddy award respectively. Producer D Suresh Babu and top producer Dil Raju were bestowed with the Nagireddy - Chakrapani Award for the year 2012 and 2013 repectively. For the Ragupathi Venkaiah Award 2012 and 2013, the committee chose director Kodi Ramakrishna and yesteryear actress Vani Sri respectively.
