Swathi Reddy may come on board for ‘Geethanjali’ sequel

After having a delivered a hit like Karthikeya, actress Swathi Reddy is riding high on the run. The actress is apparently in talks to feature as the female lead in the sequel to the Telugu superhit Geethanjali.

“The plan to make a sequel was finalised in December last year. Since then the makers have been on the lookout for a suitable heroine to play the titular role. Swathi Reddy is likely to be part of the sequel. The talks are going on. Since this will be a fresh script, the producer felt it would make sense to cast someone else,” a source close to the shape up revealed. The sequel will also be helmed by Raj Kiran who helmed the original film.
