Tamannaah Bhatia, the lead face of Baahubali alongside Anushka Shetty

An upcoming bilingual epic film Baahubali was said to have Anushka Shetty as the only lead actress of the film but the production company Arka Media Works has now declared that Tamannaah will share screen space with Anushka as the lead face. It means, now Baahubali will have two main actresses alongside Prabhas and Rana Daggubati.

Arka Media Works made an announcement, “She will be joining the cast as lead actress in “Baahubali” along with Anushka Shetty.” The 23-year-old Tamannaah is donning the character of Avanthika while Anushka will be seen as Devasena. Prabhas has a double role to play in this flick, protagonists Baahubali and Mahaabali. The film is currently practising some battle sequences in Ramoji Film City (Hyderabad). Its production is likely to complete by March 5 next year as the shooting for the same will start from 23rd December. The movie directed and written by S.S. Rajamouli is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni and K. Raghavendra Rao. M.M. Keeravani will croon songs for the most expensive venture in Tamil industry till date.
