As per the recent reports, the duo will get engaged by January 2017. Ramesh Bala, who is an industry insider, has confirmed the news on Twitter. He wrote: “Made for each other couple @chay_akkineni and @Samanthaprabhu2 r getting engaged on Jan 29th 2017! Advanced wishes to both.. ☺☺” Going by Ramesh’s tweet, Samantha and Naga are likely to exchange rings on January 29, 2017. However, none of them has yet officially confirmed this news, yet fans of this duo went crazy after hearing the update regarding their engagement.

To reach out his fans about the marriage, Chaitanya gave an official statement, saying, “It (marriage) should happen next year. My father will announce the date once it’s finalised. At the moment, I can’t divulge more information.” The 30-year-old actor said he won’t ask Samantha to give up her filmy career, saying, “It’s her life and career. I will never tell her what she should and shouldn’t do. I’m proud of her growth because she achieved everything with sheer talent. I have had a lot of family support along the way to reach where I’m today.
