Upen Patel Bags Three Telugu Films

After making his Tamil debut with the film ‘I’, model-turned-actor Upen Patel will now be foraying into the Telugu industry with ‘Chuttalabbayi’. Not just that, the actor has two other Telugu projects in his kitty. Upen is currently learning the language through a Telugu workshop.

‘Chuttalabbayi’ will be directed by Veerabhadram and talking about the project, the 33-year-old actor stated, “I was approached for this film in September last year, but due to date issues I couldn't do it then and it was held back. Later, the makers approached me again and I recently came down to Hyderabad to meet them and we got the project finalised. I always wanted to do a film like this for my Telugu debut and I'm quite kicked about starting the shooting by the end of this month”.

Upen also spoke about the workshop and revealed, “I've been given the script and a tutor to teach me the language. Also, while I was in Hyderabad recently to meet the makers and finalise the film, it was so nice to interact with the people who are so calm, welcoming and soft spoken. I wish I learn Telugu soon so that every time I come here, I can interact with people in Telugu”. The actors Tollywood debut will star Aadi in the lead role.
