Poonam Pandey gave the celebrities on the recently concluded digital reality show Lock Upp a tough fight but ultimately failed to win the title. The actress and content creator who has been in the news for the past several months for her case against estranged husband Sam Bombay, is now likely to join the line-up of contestants participating in Bigg Boss OTT season 2 this year.
The short format digital season of the popular TV reality show Bigg Boss which debuted on Voot last year was a mega success with actress Divya Agarwal lifting the trophy. The makers of the show are said to be busy putting together a second season of Bigg Boss OTT and according to Telly Chakkar, Poonam is one the many celebrities who have been approached this year.
Before Poonam, names of celebrities like Gauahar Khan and her husband Zaid Darbar, actress Anushka Sen, Lock Upp winner Munawar Faruqui, influencer, Awez Darbar, former Roadies contestant Baseer Ali and Splitsvilla fame Kevin Almasifar have come out as those approached for Bigg Boss OTT season 2.
The previous season was given a stellar launch with Karan Johar as the host of the reality show. However, several reports have claimed that it is unlikely that the filmmaker will return to host the show this year as well.
Bigg Boss OTT season which began in August last year went on for 6 weeks before Divya was announced as the winner. Several participating contestants of the season later joined Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss 15 with Pratik Sahejpal, Shamita Shetty and Nishant Bhat making it to the finale as well.
Apparently, Bigg Boss OTT season 2 is now in the pre-production stage and while celebrity guests are being lined-up, there is not news on who the makers might approach to host the season.
