Tahir Raj Bhasin felt he had arrived in the industry after signing Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen, titled after his idol's iconic song

Actor Tahir Raj Bhasin recently starred in the Netflix thriller series Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen the title of which immediately takes Bollywood fans back to Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol ’s song from Baazigar . The actor spoke about hearing the title of his thriller series for the first time and said that he felt that he had finally arrived to have a project of his named after the iconic song of the actor he admires.

Tahir who has been keeping busy with back to back releases also revealed that he felt it was ‘too good to be true’ to have his Netflix series share a Shah Rukh Khan connection and called the actor his idol. “I remember when I was offered the show, I used to play the song every morning for about a month. It felt like I had arrived in the industry if I was doing a project that has Shah Rukh sir’s song as the title,” he told Mid-Day in an interview.

Tahir also spoke about identifying with Shah Rukh’s journey as an actor and revealed that like the superstar he arrived to Mumbai from New Delhi and much like him he didn’t know a soul in Bollywood to set out on his journey as an actor.”

Well, Tahir has made his presence felt in a big way in Bollywood and of late has been a very busy man. The actor earned praises for his portrayal as Sunil Gavaskar in 83 directed by Kabir Khan post which he had two of his web series releasing on the same day. Apart from Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen, Tahir starred as the lead in Ranjish Hi Saahi on Voot.

The actor will be seen next in the Hindi remake of Run Lola Run titled Looop Lapeta with Taapsee Pannu , the trailer of which has also been revealed. The film release on Netflix on February 4.
