Television star Arjun Bijlani has taken over as the host of the popular reality show, MTV Splitsvilla. He has replaced Rannvijay Singha , who has been synonymous with the show for a longer period of time. He will now join Sunny Leone as co-host, for the upcoming new season of the show. However, Arjun’s selection as host didn’t go down well with Rannvijay’s fans as they flocked to Twitter to express their displeasure.
As soon as Arjun dropped the news of him joining MTV Splitsvilla on Twitter, Rannvijay’s fans were quick to react. While one of them wrote, “Roadies and Splitsvilla will never be the same for me again. Can't imagine without Rannvijay. In fact, my love for MTV is only coz of Rannvijay." Another one wrote “sare armano par paani pher diya”. “No one can match Rannvijay and Sunny’s hotness on #MTVSplitsvilla,” added another. Some also wished Karan Kundrra could host the new season.“Meh kinda wanna Karan (Kundrra) to do it because he’d slay. And I miss him on MTV (much better than Colors) but also it cannot be Splitsvilla without Rannvijay man." commented a user.

Meanwhile, Arjun is all excited about his entry as host of a show that is a craze among the youth. “I am thrilled to be a part of MTV Splitsvilla X4! As my fans know, I’m always up for new and fun stuff, so I’m super excited to take up this mantle. I’m definitely looking forward to taking the entertainment quotient a notch up with my lovely co-host, Sunny, for the new season. I’m sure fans are going to love it!” he said in a statement.
Besides taking up as MTV Splitsvilla host, Arjun is also gearing up for a guest appearance in Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. In a recent media interaction, he said that he always wanted to do a Dharma film and hopes it converts into big things.
