Time and again, we have seen Indian TV shows take some serious inspiration from films and shows from the West. It isn't new, and we are now used to our desi Hindi TV serial paying tribute (if we can at all call it that). Now, Harshad Chopra and Pranali Rathod turned desi Peter Parker and Mary Jane as they recreated the iconic kissing sequence from Spiderman.
Well, what happened was that Harshad Chopra and Pranali Rathod, who play Abhimanyu and Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai , finally proposed. So Abhimanyu proposed to Akshara, she agreed and out of nowhere, Abhimanyu was seen latkaoing from a tree to land a kiss on Akshara's forehead. While some gushed at the cuteness of the scene, others just cracked up. Harshad was even called 'makar man' or our desi Spiderman. See some of the reactions here:

Well, this was one of those scenes that were not dissed completely. Earlier, absurd sequences like a girl tripping over a suitcase and getting stuck inside, or a man slipping in such a way that he ends up putting sindoor on the forehead of a woman have happened.
